So far, “us” is just me. I’m publisher of evolutionforthehumanities.com, and author of seven books on evolution, including “Evolutionary Theory Traced Through Reviews of its Major Texts.” See ”RESOURCES” for details. Until I was 30, I was a physicalist: I was smugly convinced everything was physical. I might have a conscious mind but because it wasn’t physical it couldn’t make anything physical happen, like tell my body what to do. So, technically, I was an epiphenomenalist. Then I realized that wasn’t true. My focus shifted from science to creativity: graphic design, writing (including two novels), painting, inventing (two patents). I experienced creativity as an aspect of consciousness, I experienced I could consciously direct my brain to give thoughts material form. And I recognized a similar playful creativity in nature. What wisdom must lie there! In my fifties I began writing books about our relation to evolution, first the two novels, then a series of non-fiction titles. Over the course of that writing I’ve come to dismiss modern evolutionary theory for its denial of the creativity, playfulness and wisdom both in us and in nature. And to want that theory taken out of the school science classroom. I was encouraged on discovering the website thethirdwayofevolution.com, where some of the world’s top evolutionists express their disatisfaction with Darwinism. They dismiss Neo- Darwinism and creationism, pointing to our need for a third way. I’m on their side. Third way, here we come!
School without Darwin
Science is a department inside mind. Mind is bigger.
Shaun Johnston (Mr) I was born in London in 1939. After studying biochemistry at University College London but not being awarded a degree I entered publishing, first as a graphic designer, then as a medical writer. I spent 18 years in Manhattan, then 35 years in the Hudson Valley. I run a soap and candle shop on the Main Street of Rosendale, NY.
About us

MISSION Two great modern discoveries: physical laws, and that we evolved. My mission is to have human nature based on us having evolved, instead of physics. I want our theory of evolution to account for what we share with evolution: the generation of novelty, which in us is conscious. First step, remove “Darwin “ from school science.

Let’s figure out how we were made
